About the job Accounting Manager
Responsibilities:
1. Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and month-end close processes.
2. Prepare and analyse financial stateme.nts, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
3. Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
4. Collaborate with the finance team to develop and implement improved accounting procedures and controls.
5. Provide financial insights and recommendations to the management team to support strategic decision-making
6. Supervise and mentor the accounting staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
7. Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
3. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a similar accounting management role, preferably in the retail industry.
4. Proven track record of leading and developing a team of accounting professionals.
