The Engineering Program Manager is responsible for leading, planning, and coordinating engineering programs and projects across multiple teams. This role ensures timely delivery, adherence to budget, and alignment with organizational objectives while managing cross-functional collaboration. The position is fully remote, requiring strong leadership, technical understanding, and project management expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and manage engineering programs, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, design, and operations

  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, monitoring progress against milestones

  • Identify risks, dependencies, and issues, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure successful program delivery

  • Facilitate regular project status meetings, reporting updates to stakeholders and senior leadership

  • Drive process improvements, program documentation, and standardization initiatives

  • Mentor and guide team members, fostering collaboration and accountability

  • Ensure engineering programs comply with technical standards, safety requirements, and regulatory guidelines

  • Manage resources effectively and prioritize tasks to maximize project outcomes

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field

  • 5–8 years of experience in program or project management in an engineering or technical environment

  • Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional engineering projects

  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles, project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

  • Proficiency with project management tools (Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project, or similar)

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field

  • PMP, PgMP, or other project management certification

  • Experience with remote engineering teams or distributed program management

  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance

  • Experience in technology, software, manufacturing, or aerospace industries

Compensation

  • Annual Salary Range: $110,000 – $150,000 USD, based on experience, technical expertise, and geographic location
