About the job Business Unit Leader
The Business Unit Leader is in charge of the strategic direction, operational efficiency, and financial performance of a specific business unit. A dynamic leader is needed for this job to drive growth, encourage new ideas, and make sure that goals are met in line with the organization's mission and values. The best candidate will have a strong understanding of business, great leadership skills, and a history of successfully leading teams of people from different fields in a competitive setting.
Main Duties
Create and carry out business unit plans to meet goals for sales, profits, and customer satisfaction.
Lead, mentor, and manage teams from different departments to make sure they do a good job and grow professionally.
Keep an eye on key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics, and write regular reports for top management.
Find new business opportunities, trends in the market, and places where you can grow or get better.
Take charge of the business unit's budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
Work with other business units and corporate functions to push strategic initiatives and best practices.
Make sure that company rules, industry rules, and quality standards are followed.
Make and keep strong connections with clients, partners, and other people who matter.
Encourage a culture of constant improvement, new ideas, and great work.
Help with organizational transformation and lead change management projects.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field (an MBA or something similar is preferred).
At least two years of experience in a leadership role and more than two years of experience in business management.
Has proven ability to manage P&L, plan strategically, and lead a team.
Great at analyzing, organizing, and solving problems.
Good at talking to and getting along with people, and able to have an impact at all levels.
Experience with managing budgets, financial reports, and operational KPIs.
Ability to do well in a fast-paced, changing, and remote work setting.
Hourly Pay Rate: $65 to $90 (Pay will depend on experience, qualifications.)
