We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Packer/Machine Operator to join our 1st shift production team in Bristol, Rhode Island. This role will start as a packer and will transition to operating a slitting machine based on production volume. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and ready to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Accurately pack finished products into boxes and prepare them for shipment.
  • Operate slitting machinery in a safe and efficient manner according to company standards.
  • Perform start-up, shut-down, and regular operational checks on equipment.
  • Follow all processes and safety instructions related to slitting materials.
  • Monitor machine output to ensure consistent quality.
  • Inspect finished materials for accuracy and quality compliance.
  • Perform basic maintenance and cleaning on machines and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
  • Complete necessary production documentation and reporting.
  • Work effectively with team members and leadership to meet production goals.

Compensation:

Pay will be offered based on several factors including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, and certifications.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous packing or machine operating experience is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Strong attention to safety, detail, and quality.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Willingness to learn and cross-train in other departments as needed.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and a team player.
