We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Panel Builder to assemble, wire, and build high-quality electrical control panels, junction boxes, and subassemblies. In this role, you will interpret complex schematics and blueprints, utilize hand tools for precise mechanical installation, and take a lead role on customer projects while mentoring junior team members. This position requires strong technical proficiency in point-to-point wiring and component installation, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Rate: The expected hourly wage is $23-27/hr. Pay will be offered based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, and certifications. 

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 1st and 2nd shift hours available

Responsibilities Include:

  • Wire and build electrical control panels, junction boxes and subassemblies per customer requirement.
  • Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, bills of material.
  • Work with junior members of the team to train and mentor.
  • Ability to take lead on customer projects.
  • Drill or tap holes to mount control units or to provide openings for components, wiring, or instruments.
  • Utilize a variety of small hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
  • Complete point-to-point wiring, and install a wide variety of electronic components including PLCs, relays, lights, switches, etc.
  • Red-line documentation as necessary to initiate ECOs through Engineering.
  • Perform operations such as deburring, grinding & sawing. Operate hand pallet jacks to move material within plant.
  • Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Minimum of a High School Education. A Technical Certificate in Electrical Controls is desired.
  • Experience: 4+ years' experience in control panel building, wiring, reading schematics and electrical diagrams.
  • Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of electrical currents; experience using hand tools to drill, tap, and assemble electrical panels is a must.
  • Capabilities: Mechanical installation and electrical wiring skills for control panels and desks; ability to complete point-to-point wiring and install electronic components (PLCs, relays, switches).
  • Soft Skills: Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
