We are looking for a Quality Layout Inspector to serve as the final line of defense for our high-precision components. This 1st-shift role is perfect for a Senior Machinist looking to transition into a dedicated Quality position or an experienced Inspector who thrives on complex layouts. You will be responsible for ensuring every partm eets our rigorous standards before reaching the customer.

Responsibilities Include
- First-Article & Final Inspection: Perform full layout inspections on a variety of CNC milled, turned, and ground components.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T specifications with 100% accuracy.
- Precision Measurement: Use a full suite of manual gauges, micrometers, calipers, and height stands to verify dimensions.
- Documentation & Compliance: Complete inspection reports and ensure all "travelers" are properly documented and signed off.
- Collaborative Quality: Work closely with the machining team to troubleshoot dimensional issues and provide feedback on part accuracy.
Skills / Qualifications
- Machining Background: Strong experience in a CNC or Manual machining environment (setting up/checking your own work or others').
- Blueprint Mastery: Expert-level ability to read prints and understand geometric tolerances.
- Gauge Proficiency: Mastery of standard inspection tools (bore gauges, thread gauges, surface plates, etc.).
- Analytical Mindset: A "quality-first" attitude with the ability to catch discrepancies that others might miss.
- Communication: Ability to clearly explain technical findings to both the shop floor and management.
