Oxford Tutors is hiring a full-time Education Project Manager to support our team in Puerto Rico.
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and people-oriented individual to help lead the daily operations of our tutor team and educational projects. This role involves close collaboration with the companys founder and the Director of Operations.
The Education Project Manager will oversee scheduling, team communications, project execution, tutor coordination, and the implementation of nonprofit initiatives. This is a fast-paced, collaborative role that requires strong logistical skills, a mentorship mindset, and the ability to troubleshoot in real-time. Its ideal for someone who thrives in a mission-driven environment and enjoys juggling multiple moving parts to keep programs running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Scheduling
- Hold weekly 1:1 meetings with tutors to track goals, share updates, and provide support (alongside the founder)
- Allocate tutors to students and projects in collaboration with leadership
- Maintain daily communication with team members to ensure alignment and clarity
- Track team deliverables and project milestones on a weekly basis
- Oversee the successful execution of education programs and client deliverables
- Respond swiftly to urgent needs and put out fires as they arise
- Project & Operations Management
Manage scheduling logistics for tutors and clients
Prepare and organize internal documents, meeting agendas, and follow-ups
Send organized task lists and project updates to the founder and leadership team
Conduct educational and program-related research as needed
Maintain systems for tutor onboarding, offboarding, and internal training documentation
- Coordinate with the billing team and help monitor the completion of key administrative tasks
- Executive Support & Communications
- Assist the founder with high-priority projects and day-to-day operations
- Draft internal communications, program materials, and occasional client emails
- Liaise with the marketing team to support outreach, social media, and newsletter content
- Help ensure consistent brand voice and alignment across public-facing materials
- Nonprofit Initiative Management
- Oversee the planning and implementation of our nonprofit programs
- Serve as a liaison between educational partners, families, and our internal team
- Track progress on grant-funded initiatives and community engagement projects
- Support fundraising, reporting, and strategic partnership development in coordination with the founder
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience in education, youth programs, operations, or team/project management
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and ability to keep multiple workflows moving simultaneously
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
A problem-solving mindset and willingness to take initiative
Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Familiarity with tools like Google Workspace, Calendly, and project tracking platforms
U.S. work authorization required
Role Details:
Full-time (40 hours per week)
Mostly virtual, with occasional in-person meetings in San Juan, Puerto RicoReports directly to and works closely with the Founder
Structured training path toward promotion to Director of Education
