Commodity Analyst: 

This role will allow an analyst to develop their skills in modeling and analyzing market information in the growing segment of environmental commodities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Expand and maintain current supply and demand models, build and maintain models for new products
• Expand and maintain market activity data and models, build and maintain new models for new markets
• Develop and expand analytical tools and processes
• Maintain market research and insights
• Model commodity data for specific market opportunities and produce ad hoc analysis based on short-term market developments
• Evaluate and improve data quality
• Generate trade ideas based on research and analysis

Skills Requirements:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in statistics, mathematics, computer science, finance or economics
• Strong understanding of financial modeling, specifically using Python and/or VBA, Matlab, or equivalent programs
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills as well as a strong attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced team environment
• Creativity and ability to generate new ideas
• English fluency

Not required but will be considered a benefit for an applicant:

• Master's or PhD in statistics, mathematics, computer science, finance or economics
• Prior commodities, power/energy, or renewables/sustainability experience
• High GPA , Academic Honors, High Class Rank
• Fluency in languages besides English
• Series 3 Certification
