What's the role?

As an AWS DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our AWS infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, and security of our applications and services. The AWS DevOps Engineer will work closely with development teams to automate deployment processes, optimize infrastructure, and improve efficiency.

How can you add value?

• Create and maintain automated build, test, and deployment pipelines using tools like Jenkins or AWS CodePipeline.
• Manage and optimize AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, and others, to meet the company's performance and security requirements.
• Implement security best practices and compliance policies in AWS environments,including IAM policies, VPC security groups, and encryption.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to bridge the gap between development and IT operations, ensuring smooth software releases.
• Create and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for infrastructure configurations and procedures.
• Demonstrate and ensure compliance with the Customer First Philosophy, all Liberty PR and LLA policies and procedures including the Code of Conduct and Liberty safety standards and procedures.
• Other functions that may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachellor's degree

3-6 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a focus on AWS.

Other Qualifications:

• Strong experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, and VPC.
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, or Terraform.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, and ELK stack.
• Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security controls in AWS environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a distributed environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Working on hybrid Cloud- and On-prem based workload is a plus.
