Responsibilities
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Preparing cost estimates at various stages of design from schematic and budget to detailed take-off and pricing.
- Participating in project meetings, reviewing schedules, and preparing reports.
- Exploring documentations in order to gain a deep understanding of project requirements.
- Building and maintaining healthy and long-term relationships with vendors, clients, and other project managers.
- Performing complex analysis of collected data and metrics.
- Visiting sites, warehouses, and other venues necessary in order to do estimates.
- Communicating with architects, engineers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors efficiently; and preparing economic feasibility studies on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
- Lead and manage for the Cost Estimating Discipline
- Plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate technical work for projects or tasks.
Requirements
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Bachelors degree
- Engineer in Training (EIT) License or Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred.
- 10 years of experience
- Proficiency using RS Means Cost Estimating Format.
- Must have fluent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
