Our client, Geodesic Energy, is looking for a Software Engineer.

Position: Software Engineer (Frontend-Focused, Full-Stack)

Geodesic Energy LLC is a commodity trading hedge fund specializing in U.S. electricity markets (ERCOT, CAISO, MISO, SPP, PJM). We are based in Puerto Rico but operate fully remotely.

Our technology team is small (5 members) but has a broad scope. We are looking for:

• Maintain the infrastructure (servers, databases, accounts, monitoring) that powers the firm.
• Collect, structure, and process massive amounts of market data through custom ETLs.
• Build internal tools to support traders and analysts from dashboards to quant strategies and machine learning models.
• Support day-to-day trading operations by validating trades, monitoring systems, and automating workflows.

We are looking for a software engineer with a strong interest in frontend development to take ownership of building polished internal web tools. You'll turn ad-hoc scripts, queries, and prototypes into usable applications that give our traders clear insights and better decision-making power. These tools aren't public-facing;  your users will be a small, engaged internal team.

Beyond frontend work, we value engineers who are flexible and willing to wear many hats: contributing to backend services, ETLs, databases, ops tasks, or even ML projects when needed. Autonomy, curiosity, and adaptability are key.
