Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on production equipment, automation systems, and support utilities.
- Diagnose PLC-related issues, including checking input and output indicators, interpreting I/O status, tracing field devices, and verifying proper signal flow.
- Use clear troubleshooting logic to determine whether failures originate from sensors, actuators, wiring, relays, safety circuits, or the PLC program.
- Troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PowerFlex drives, including fault codes, parameter issues, communication faults, and power/command signal problems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic diagrams, wiring prints, and panel layouts to accurately identify root causes and complete repairs.
- Respond to maintenance calls quickly and professionally; provide clear communication to operators and fellow technicians.
- Complete preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, PM checks, and documentation with accuracy and consistency.
- Verify and validate your work by confirming proper operation of equipment, sensors, motors, and safety circuits before returning systems to production.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying chronic issues, recommending reliability upgrades, and assisting with small improvement projects.
- Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety, quality, and compliance procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and properly handle tools, parts, and components.
- Assist in training or mentoring newer technicians when needed.

Experience:
- Powerflex Drives: 1 year (Preferred)
