Network Engineer

Introduction

The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, operating and maintaining the customer infrastructure (Banking and MFI) and wide area networks. Plus, he/she builds relationships and work with telecom service and maintenance vendors. The Network Engineer should ensure network devices are at the latest or most advanced stage of development, innovation and pioneering in cutting-edge network technology and monitoring the issues. At any moment, the Network Engineer could be asked to participate in tasks that are assigned by a senior network engineer.

Jos Responsibilities:

• Install and configure network devices such as Cisco Switch/Router, Unify Access Point, Checkpoint/Fortigate/PaloAlto Firewall, TCP/IP & Wireless Connection.
• Ensure availability connectivity of Data Center to DR Site and to any other branch/POS
• Installation, and support of network communications including LAN/WAN systems, T1, SIP, and VOIP systems.
• Upgrade network equipment and all network system to latest stable firmware/patch releases.
• Monitoring Inbound/Outbound of network traffic, ensure all users access internet under security prohibition.
• Ensure that network performance, recovery, and security configuration are meet with security recommendation.
• Investigate, diagnoses and troubleshoot network related problems.
• Monitors the network for problem conditions, implements network troubleshooting procedures to isolate specific problem source and take corrective action
• Provide Second Level Support of network issue and working closely with Helpdesk team in resolving issue.
• Ensure ticket of request support are fixed following SLA and keep update status to Helpdesk team or User regularly.
• Communicate and facilitate with other department for any incident of notification require.
• Day to day technical operation activities and support to the customer request support.
• Ensure whole network quality, healthy, security and high performance
• Other task as assign from time to time by Senior Infrastructure Engineer
• Tracking on product renewal report, patches.
• Generate monthly report related bandwidth throughputs.

Jos Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or Engineering or related field.
• A strong practical skill or experience of installation and configuration of Firewall, Network Devices such as Cisco, Fortigate, Checkpoint and Unify.
• 2 years’ equivalent work experience in a position related to network design for large companies.
• Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, etc.) and experience of Fortigate Firewall are recommended.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP communications and how common protocols and applications work at the network level, including DNS, HTTP.
• Solid understanding of computer network fundamentals including address resolution protocol (ARP), routing, network address translation, virtual private networks, and the OSI model
• Fluent in English both spoken and written is mandatory. Fluency in Khmer is a must.
• Must be self-starter, able to work independently and deliver according to expectation.
• Willing to learn, self-improve and “Can do” attitude.
• Availability for third level 24 x 7 On-Call Support
• Be able to work with under pressure environment.
