Our law group is growing, and we are looking for a sharp attorney who will zealously represent our clients in our estate planning, probate, and civil law practice. You will assist individuals in a variety of situations including drafting estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, and power of attorney instruments; guiding clients through the probate process, both contested and uncontested; helping clients obtain guardianship and conservatorship for minors and adult wards; administering estates and conservatorships; and assisting both individuals and small business clients with their transactional and litigation needs. The prime candidate will have experience with a range of sensitive legal issues and be able to maintain composure, negotiate, and argue effectively even in emotional and high-stress situations. Responsibilities:

  • Provides legal advice and representation to individuals seeking estate planning, probate, and civil law assistance.
  • Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings.
  • Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs, analyzing the situation, then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action.
  • Create legal documents such as pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, contracts, deeds, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases.
  • Work closely with attorneys and staff to ensure timely compliance throughout the civil litigation process.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

The right candidate meets all the following qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor Degree from an accredited law school required.
  • Georgia Bar License in Good Standing.
  • 1-3 years experience in practicing law, preferred.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Excellent time management skills with deadline-driven mentality.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced and, at times, stressful environment.
  • Ability to find creative solutions.
  • Works well within a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal research.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Accounting skills are not required but are a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
