Shop Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner
• Explain products and help customers find what they need
• Operate the till, process cash and card payments, and balance at end of shift
• Receive, unpack and pack out stock, and keep shelves neat and full
• Assist with stock counts
• Keep the store clean, tidy and presentable
• Check customer ID to make sure no products are sold to anyone under 18

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / NSSCO certificate
• Must be 18 years or older
• No previous work experience required – training will be provided
• Basic numeracy and good communication skills in English
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays

Advantageous

• Any retail, till or customer service experience (including part-time or holiday work)
• Interest in or basic knowledge of vape products
