Diesel Mechanic

Minimum Requirements

• Red Seal Qualified Diesel Mechanic
• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience working with construction machinery
• Strong experience in:
• Mechanical systems
• Hydraulic systems
• Electrical systems
• Field service
• Workshop repairs and maintenance
• Experience diagnosing and repairing heavy construction equipment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's licence will be an advantage

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain construction machinery and heavy equipment.
• Perform mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding.
• Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Conduct field service and breakdown repairs.
• Complete workshop repairs and equipment servicing.
• Ensure machinery is maintained to a safe and reliable operating standard.
• Complete service reports and maintenance documentation.
• Follow all company safety procedures and requirements.
