PROJECT DESCRIPTION: RedHat Linux 7 and PeopleTools Upgrades and PeopleSoft
Update Manager (PUM) Update Application Support

BACKGROUND: The Administrative Systems Automation Program (ASAP) department of
the Management Division proposes to engage a Contractor to provide development support on the operating system and PeopleTools upgrades and PUM updates for PeopleSoft CRM and HCM.

The candidate shall possess the knowledge and skills set forth in the Technical Services Blanket Ordering Agreement (BOA), Section Senior Application Developer. In addition, the candidate shall have demonstrated experience in the following:

  • Possess knowledge and experience with PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 (PUM Image 27) and CRM 9.2 (PUM Image 15).
  • Possess significant experience with PeopleTools version 8.56 (8.57/8.58 a plus).
  • Possess significant experience in Fluid User Interface (UI).
  • Possess significant experience with Application Engine Programs, SQR, component/page.
  • development, PeopleCode, and XML/BI Publisher for custom development.
  • Possess significant experience in the creation of custom Component Interfaces, interfaces, integration tools, and APIs.
  • Possess significant experience with RedHat Linux 6 and 7 operating systems.
  • Possess significant experience in developing SQL and Shell Scripts.
  • Possess significant experience in use of PeopleCode Debugger and tracing tools to analyze components and troubleshoot problems.
  • Possess the ability to use Application Packages.
  • Possess the ability to customize Workflows.
  • Possess experience in applying tax updates and packages using Change Assistant.
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Possess knowledge and experience with more recent PUM Images (preferred).
  • Possess experience with Phire change management software (preferred).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate with the HR Systems Operations & Maintenance team in the software development life cycle for HCM and CRM applications.
  • Develop, upgrade, implement, test, and document software components.
  • Direct, review, and approve the design and technical specification of well-documented, efficient and effective solutions to meet business needs.
  • Develop solutions with team members to implement previously defined and documented requirements.
  • Ensure all specified deliverables are provided within the required timeframe as dictated by the COR and project lead and as described on the written project schedule.
  • Provide a weekly status report to the COR documenting concerns, issues, risks, and progress.
  • Partner with internal business owners, technical team members, and senior management throughout the project.
  • Act as the intermediary to facilitate a clear understanding among all parties about business assumptions and requirements, design, technical, testing, and production migration requirements.
  • Work closely with the ASAP staff to establish, revise, and maintain standards and procedures while implementing system projects.
  • Work with clients to foster best business practices, the appropriate use of automation to provide efficient, cost-effective administrative systems and a continual process improvement approach to the Board’s automated administrative systems.

The Application Developer shall deliver, but not limited to, the following:
  • Retrofitted customizations to the updated environments.
  • Unit Testing of all HCM/CRM processes in scope of the upgrades/updates.
  • Troubleshooting all issues associated with the upgrades/updates.
  • All technical documentation associated with changes.
