Primary purpose of position

To provide professional medical support and being responsible for the various clinic and occupational health functions, which include assessing and monitoring on-site team members needs, ensure treatment and care is conducted according to the procedures of the on-site clinic, administer medications, and perform other related tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Restoring and promoting team members health by completing the nursing process in other words, all PHC services including injuries while on duty.
  • Collaborating with the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, line managers, management and team members.
  • Identifying care requirements by establishing personal rapport with the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, line managers, executive management and team members.
  • Driving the annual renewal of registration of the clinic.
  • Establishing a compassionate environment by providing support to team members.
  • Assuring quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against care goals and ministerial requirements and standards.
  • Organising monthly outreach clinic hosted by the Ministry of Health and Social Services.
  • Maintaining safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Protecting employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols; medication administration and storage procedures; and controlled substance regulations.
  • Documenting as part of administrative duties the care services delivery by recording daily care requirements, statistics and medical needs and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs to management.
  • Referring on-site personnel to nearest Doctor/Health Facility if on-site is not possible especially in the event of major injuries while on duty.
  • Ensuring operation of equipment and clinic by completing preventive maintenance requirements; calling for repairs; and evaluating new equipment and techniques required for the care of the team members on-site.
  • Maintaining nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level.
  • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and participating in professional societies.
  • Collecting information and drafting submissions to the Board of Directors.
  • Contributing to company effort by accomplishing related results as required.
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality.

Qualification requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery.
  • Candidate must be registered with the HPCNA.
  • Demonstrated commitment to health, safety and environmental policies and procedures, including training of staff in these areas.
  • NOSA certification will be advantageous.
  • Minimum software skills required: Pastel, Microsoft Office (Power Point, Excel, Outlook & Word)
