Vacancy:  National Coordinator for Foundation (for Children)

Nature of role: Permanent position

Location: Windhoek, Namibia

Industry: NGO Childrens Foundation projects

Citizenship: Namibian

Primary purpose of position

The role manages all projects and activities for this well-established Foundation, focussing on further developing the various sustainable ventures, for the benefit and future growth of Children in Namibia.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Direction: Lead Teams and Develop plans for innovative income generating and sustainable project ideas including the conducting of feasibility studies

  • Effective Project Management including quarterly progress reports
  • Financial Management: Preparation for Audits; Budget management and general accounting
  • General HR Management including staff/Team management and development
  • Communications/PR/Marketing: Stakeholder engagement; Media Liaison Management; Marketing and Social Media management to create awareness for the foundation and various projects, thereby maintaining positive perceptions and obtaining buy-in from a wide range of stakeholders

Qualification requirements

  • Ideally a Masters Degree in development cooperation, economics, project management, politics or communication

Experience requirements

  • Minimum 2-4 years experience in Communication and Project Management, ideally from an NGO environment, either in Namibia or internationally
  • 5 years living and/or working experience gained in Namibia

Other

  • Code B Drivers license
  • Self-motivated
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Team player and experience leading teams
  • Verbal and written expertise in English. In addition, Afrikaans and German would be an added advantage
  • Willingness to travel throughout Namibia
