Overview:
We are seeking an experienced IT and Networking Engineer to join our team. This role involves configuring, installing, and maintaining network devices and services, ensuring system reliability, and providing high-level support to resolve network-related issues. As an integral member of the IT team, you will collaborate with security teams, vendors, and internal staff to ensure smooth and secure network operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Configuration & Installation: Configure and install various network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and implement Quality of Service (QoS) protocols.
- System Upgrades & Maintenance: Perform regular network and system maintenance, including applying service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations to ensure optimal system performance.
- Monitoring & Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor system performance, resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning to maintain high availability and reliability.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Provide Level-2/3 support to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve network-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Configuration & Change Management: Adhere to established configuration and change management policies to ensure proper approval and tracking of any modifications made to the network infrastructure.
- Security & Compliance: Collaborate with the companys security team to implement and enforce security tools, policies, and procedures to safeguard network integrity.
- Vendor Liaison: Work closely with external vendors and internal IT staff to address technical issues and optimize network solutions.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in networking, IT infrastructure, and system maintenance.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in configuring and maintaining network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs).
- Proficient in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Familiarity with system upgrades, patches, service packs, and security protocols.
- Hands-on experience with QoS, capacity planning, and system resource monitoring.
- Knowledge of security practices and ability to work with a security team to implement measures.
- Certifications: Industry certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent are a plus.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to handle complex network issues.
- Communication: Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams, vendors, and external stakeholders.
