Responsibilities
- Manage end‑to‑end procurement activities for assigned T&I and / or EPC projects in accordance with company procedures and P2P governance.
- Lead procurement planning and execution in coordination with Project, Engineering, Construction, Logistics, and Finance teams.
- Prepare and maintain Project Procurement Plans, schedules, and standard procurement reports.
- Identify and deliver cost‑saving or cost‑avoidance opportunities, through effective sourcing strategies, commercial negotiations, market benchmarking, and alternative vendor solutions, where feasible and without compromising safety, quality, or schedule.
- Ensure that commercial, contractual, technical, HSE, and quality requirements are flowed down to suppliers and subcontractors, where applicable and as defined in project and client contracts, in coordination with Project, Contracts, Legal, and Quality teams.
- Lead pre‑award activities, including RFQ issuance, techno‑commercial evaluation, negotiations, and recommendations for award in line with LOA.
- Manage post‑award activities, including vendor kick‑off meetings, expediting, performance monitoring, claims coordination, and contract close‑out.
- Support bidding and tendering activities by providing procurement input, vendor budgetary quotations, and market intelligence.
- Supervise assigned buyers and provide guidance to ensure delivery, compliance, and quality outcomes.
Requirement
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline.
- Professional certification (CIPS, CPSM, PMP, Contract Management) preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum 12 to 15 years of experience in Supply Chain / Procurement, preferably in the oil & gas or energy sector.
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in project procurement for T&I and /or EPC projects.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years in a lead or managerial role within a project or functional procurement team.
- Experience in project-based procurement covering T&I and / or EPC projects, preferably within the oil & gas, energy, or infrastructure sectors.
- Hands-on involvement in pre-award and post-award procurement activities, including RFQ processes, techno-commercial evaluations, negotiations, and contract administration.
- Exposure to sourcing of engineering items, bulk materials, long-lead equipment, subcontracted services, and logistics scope, depending on project requirements.
- Experience working with multi-disciplinary project teams, including Engineering, Construction, Project Controls, Logistics, Finance, and QHSE.
- Familiarity with managing suppliers and subcontractors under different contract types (e.g. lump sum, reimbursable, framework, or hybrid), as applicable to project scope.
- Experience in SAP or similar ERP systems for procurement execution, reporting, and contract close-out.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting cost optimisation initiatives, including cost saving, cost avoidance, and value improvement, while maintaining safety, quality, and schedule objectives.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
