Job Description
The Head, Product & Sales is responsible for leading th1e overall product strategy, sales performance, and commercial growth of the organization. This role drives revenue generation, market expansion, product positioning, and strategic partnerships while ensuring strong customer relationships, operational excellence, and alignment with the companys strategic objectives.
The role plays a critical part in sustaining and growing the companys revenue base through effective leadership of product management, sales execution, and business development initiatives.
Strategic Leadership & Business Planning
- Develop and execute divisional business plans, budgets, and sales strategies aligned with company goals.
- Define short- and long-term growth strategies to increase revenue, market share, and profitability.
- Provide strategic input to senior management on market trends, risks, and opportunities.
Sales & Business Development
- Lead sales strategy across key accounts, projects, and new market opportunities.
- Oversee tendering, proposal development, pricing strategy, and contract negotiations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, EPCs, principals, and strategic partners.
- Drive new business acquisition while strengthening existing customer relationships.
Product Strategy & Management
- Oversee the full product lifecycle, including introduction, growth, optimization, and phase-out.
- Ensure product offerings meet market demand, technical standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with principals, OEMs, and vendors to expand and enhance the product portfolio.
- Define product positioning, value propositions, and competitive differentiation.
Technical & Commercial Oversight
- Ensure accurate technical evaluations, specifications, and compliance with industry standards (e.g. API, ASME, ISO).
- Provide technical and commercial guidance to support bids, tenders, and project execution.
- Ensure proposals are competitive, compliant, and aligned with customer requirements.
Operational & Project Coordination
- Oversee order fulfillment, project execution handover, and after-sales support.
- Coordinate with Commercial, Services, Logistics, QA/QC, and Finance teams to ensure seamless delivery.
- Monitor project performance to ensure delivery timelines, cost control, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop product managers, sales engineers, and support teams.
- Set KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and drive accountability across the division.
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and customer-centric culture.
- Ensure effective CRM usage, accuracy, and reporting discipline.
Compliance, Governance & HSE
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and HSE standards.
- Promote a safety-first culture across all sales, product, and partner engagements.
- Ensure ethical business practices and strong governance across commercial activities.
Requirement
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or professional certifications will be an added advantage
- Minimum 15–20 years of experience in product management, sales, or business development
- Proven leadership experience in Oil & Gas, industrial, energy, or technical solutions environment
- Strong background in handling complex tenders, EPC projects, and principal relationships
- Track record of driving revenue growth and managing high-value portfolios
