Resident Electrical Engineer

Key Objectives

The Resident Electrical Engineer will be responsible for ensuring all electrical systems and installations comply with the Electricity Supply Act 1990 and Electricity Regulations 1994. This is a full-time on-site role requiring a 132kV Competent Electrical Engineer certified by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) to oversee, inspect, and manage electrical operations safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and safety checks of electrical installations (132kV, 11kV, 3.3kV, and 415V systems).
• Prepare and submit inspection reports in compliance with ST requirements.
• Supervise electrical maintenance, operations, and switching activities to ensure uninterrupted power supply.
• Advise management on electrical safety compliance, procedures, and improvements.
• Maintain proper documentation, records, and inspection logbooks.
• Liaise with utility providers and regulatory authorities on operational and safety matters.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 132kV Competent Electrical Engineer (CEE) certified by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) / Energy Commission (EC).
• Minimum 10 years experience in electrical system supervision, inspection, or maintenance (high-voltage installation).
• Strong knowledge of ST regulations, switching procedures, and HSE compliance.
• Willing to be based full-time on-site in Gebeng, Kuantan.
