About the job Wellsite Geologist
We are currently connecting with experienced Wellsite Geologists for upcoming opportunities in drilling operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for providing real-time, on-site geological analysis and evaluation during drilling operations.
- Examine rock cuttings (geological logging) to determine lithology, formation tops, and identify hydrocarbon shows.
- Monitor real-time drilling data to predict geological hazards, manage formation pressure, and advise on optimal well placement
- Provide the daily geological reports, wellsite logs, and final reports on drilling progress, formation evaluation, and mudlogging data.
- Active, visible and committed in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) by applying a high priority to safety performance in the planning and evaluation of all drilling and completion operations.
- Actively participated in HAZID/HAZOP/JSA/RA and other HSE program.
- Ensure compliance with Company's Standards and Procedures.
- Capture all lessons learnt (incl. AAR) into Company's database actively participate in Lessons Learnt operating rhythm.
Requirements:
- Minimum 15 years' experience as wellsite geologist in Wells operations industry related; with minimum of 5 years of HTHP (or minimum 5 HTHP wells) experience.
- Proposed personnel must possess a tertiary qualification (especially in engineering or equivalent work experience).
- Excellent communication, advisory, interpersonal and writing skills in English.
- Analytical skills for data interpretation and problem-solving.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
