About the job Drilling Superintendent
Description
- Direct, supervise and coordinate the offshore drilling, completion, testing and associated operations through the drilling supervisory team in order to deliver a safe, cost-effective operation and well quality that is according to company well objectives. Ensure that the operations comply with the drilling programme and company standards.
- Ensure and establish that all Drilling contractors and 3rd party equipment is in good condition and fit for purpose to minimize nonproductive time (NPT) due to equipment failure and align with company guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Plan and coordinate the logistic function in order to ensure that the off-shore logistics support (e.g. boats, helicopters, etc.) is provided in the most efficient, safe and timely manner to ensure optimal performance of logistics operation in compliance with requirements and regulations.
- Review and approve all drilling, completion and testing programs to ensure they adhere to all of company requirements and regulations and to gain efficiency and optimization in drilling operations.
- Organize and coordinate with Drilling site supervision for evaluation of any potential occurrence of emergency situation at the drilling rig, make decisions under emergency operating conditions to solve problems and protect crew, rig and well. Provide onsite guidance and resolve difficult and unusual problems at wellsite in company Interest.
- Promote and ensure all the health, safety and environment activities follows and comply with Companys HSE policies, procedures and regulations and effectively implemented to secure work environment in order to meet company HSE plan and targets.
- Manage, analyze and evaluate vendor/outsource parties relationships, third party work performance to ensure compliance of contractual agreement and Service Level Agreement (SLA) and responsible to the quality standard services is delivered to end users align with company guidelines, policies and procedures. Contract holder for Drilling Rig contract including tender processing and contract award.
- Monitor and manage the gaps and capabilities of staff through coaching and mentoring and formation of capability development plan in order to have a skilled, qualified and continuously improving workforce in company.
- Maintain relationship with shareholders and stakeholders to keep them abreast with the latest information on company's business update and progress and aim to enhance the self confidence in company services, products and business solutions. Guide staff performance by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by Superior.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Petroleum, Mining Engineering or equivalent.
- Possess a valid IWCF Well Control Certificate
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in drilling operations.
- At least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Experience on other aspects/disciplines involved in well completion: reservoir, testing, geology, etc. Human management skill is necessary.
