Position : Wells Data Engineer

Location : Kuala Lumpur / Terengganu / Kelantan (Onshore or Offshore)

Job Description:

• Capture and validate data from various sources (service providers, sensors, real-time feeds). Ensure data accuracy and integrity by identifying and resolving inconsistencies in real-time or daily reports.
• Collaborate with engineering team, operations team, third-party service providers, and on-site crews to support data-driven decision-making and project execution.
• Conduct performance analysis on Non-Productive Time (NPT) and Inefficient Time analyses, as well as KPI-based analytics to measure operational efficiency.
• Reporting & Visualization. Create and maintain daily reports, spreadsheets, wellbore diagrams, and dashboards for drilling, completions, and intervention operations.
• Process Improvement. Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements in data workflows.
• Prepare technical documentation, planning, surveillance data analysis and contribute to optimizing drilling operations focusing on safety, efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Capture all lessons learnt (incl. AAR) into Company's database and actively participate in Lessons Learnt/QAQC operating rhythm.

Qualification/Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data analytics, especially related to Wells engineering and operations.
• Proposed personnel must possess a tertiary qualification (in engineering, data science, computer science or equivalent work experience).
• Excellent communication, advisory, interpersonal and writing skills in English.
• Analytical skills for data interpretation and problem-solving.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
