About the job Senior Buyer

The Senior Buyer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services to support oil & gas drilling and operations activities. The role ensures cost efficiency, timely delivery, and compliance with company and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and evaluate suppliers for oil & gas equipment, materials, and services
  • Handle procurement for drilling, completion, and operational requirements
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms with vendors
  • Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery to offshore/onshore sites
  • Coordinate with Drilling, Operations, and Logistics teams on material requirements
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery or quality issues
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company procedures and project specifications
  • Support cost control initiatives and identify savings opportunities
  • Maintain procurement records and documentation for audit purposes

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Minimum 5–8 years of procurement experience in Oil & Gas industry
  • Experience in drilling materials, MRO, or oilfield services preferred
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills
  • Familiar with offshore/onshore operational requirements
  • Able to work under pressure and meet project deadlines
