Elton Recruitment is working with a corporate client in Amsterdam who is seeking a professional and proactive Facilities Assistant to support the smooth running of their office environment.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role combining front-of-house responsibilities with facilities coordination in a professional corporate setting.

The Role

You will be the welcoming face of the workplace while ensuring facilities operations, compliance, and service standards are consistently maintained.

Front of House & Workplace Support

  • Provide a professional welcome to visitors and staff

  • Manage incoming calls and reception duties

  • Maintain a tidy, well-presented reception and communal areas

  • Coordinate meeting room bookings and catering

  • Arrange taxis, couriers, and manage post distribution

  • Support employee engagement initiatives (cards, small gifts, etc.)

Facilities & Operations

  • Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance with contractors

  • Monitor compliance documentation and ensure records are up to date

  • Conduct regular floor walks to identify maintenance needs

  • Liaise with landlord and building management

  • Monitor access control, HVAC, emergency lighting, and general workplace systems

  • Manage office supplies and consumables

Health & Safety

  • Conduct DSE assessments (training provided if required)

  • Act as first point of contact for facilities, cleaning, and security queries

  • Support contractor management and service reviews

About You

  • Previous experience in Facilities, Workplace, or Office Management within a corporate environment

  • Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken)

  • Professional, approachable, and service-driven

  • Highly organised with strong problem-solving skills

  • Confident using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Desirable:

  • Experience within an outsourced FM environment

  • IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification

  • First Aid / Fire Warden training
