Working alongside the Managing Partner, you will have direct access to clients and decision-makers, offering a unique platform for lawyers looking to take on greater responsibility and play a genuine advisory role. For more experienced Senior Associates, a future book of clients awaits, along with a fast track to Special Counsel and Partner. 

The Opportunity 

You will work closely with senior leadership and play a leading role on complex corporate and commercial matters. You will advise founders, investors, private companies and family businesses on high-value transactions, while taking ownership of matters and building direct client relationships. Your views on the continued growth of the practice will be highly valued, and your areas of specialisation will be actively supported. 

Salary range: $230k - $250k inclusive of superannuation + benefits. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Advise on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters including M&A, private company transactions and capital raisings.  
  • Draft and negotiate key transaction documents including shareholder agreements, investment agreements and joint venture arrangements.  
  • Lead transactions and manage client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to executives and business owners.  
  • Advise on corporate structuring, governance and strategic commercial arrangements.  
  • Mentor and supervise junior lawyers while contributing to the continued growth of the practice.  

About You 

  • Admitted to practice in Australia with 6+ PQE in corporate mergers & acquisitions, ideally gained at a top-tier or mid-tier firm, seeking a change of pace, greater visibility and client interaction in an ambitious boutique firm environment. 
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills with strong commercial judgment.  
  • Proven ability to manage transactions, build client relationships and deliver practical, commercially focused advice.  
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to mentor and support junior lawyers in a positive way.
