The Opportunity

The firm is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join its Banking & Finance team, with opportunities available in Sydney and Melbourne.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of complex financing transactions, advising clients across sectors including infrastructure, healthcare, media, government and financial services. You will work closely with highly regarded partners and gain exposure to a variety of workstreams, allowing you to develop both breadth and depth in your practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on a broad range of financing arrangements, including project finance, acquisition and leveraged finance, property finance and general corporate lending.
  • Draft and negotiate key financing and security documentation.
  • Support the structuring and execution of complex financing transactions.
  • Work collaboratively with partners and colleagues across the firm on multi-faceted transactions.
  • Build strong client relationships while contributing to the development of the broader practice.

About You

  • Admitted to practice in Australia or New Zealand with experience in Banking & Finance, ideally gained at a large national or international law firm (or a combination of private practice and in-house).
  • Exposure to project finance, leveraged finance, acquisition finance, securitisation, debt, property or corporate finance transactions.
  • Strong technical and drafting skills with a commercial approach to problem solving.
  • A collaborative mindset with a desire to learn, develop and mentor others.
