The Opportunity
This role offers the opportunity to work on complex and large-scale energy and infrastructure projects, including renewable energy and storage developments. You will work closely with highly regarded partners and clients across the energy and infrastructure sector, advising on project development, transactions and strategic matters.
You will gain exposure to a wide range of high-value matters and collaborate with a diverse team of lawyers and clients on market-leading projects and transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on energy and infrastructure project development and commercial arrangements.
- Draft and negotiate key project documentation such as power purchase agreements and construction agreements.
- Support acquisitions and disposals of energy assets, including due diligence and transaction documentation.
- Provide regulatory and strategic advice on project approvals and risk allocation.
- Contribute to business development and the continued growth of the practice.
About You
- Admitted to practice in Australia or New Zealand (3+ PQE) with experience advising on energy and infrastructure projects, ideally gained at a leading national or international firm.
- Strong drafting and technical skills with experience working on complex project transactions.
- Ability to manage smaller matters independently while contributing to larger project teams.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with clients and colleagues.
- A collaborative mindset with an interest in mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to business development activities.
