The Opportunity

The firm is seeking a Solicitor (2–4 PQE) to join its Environment & Planning team in Sydney.

This role offers the opportunity to work across a broad range of contentious and advisory environment and planning matters. You will advise on major project developments, environmental and planning approvals, and disputes involving infrastructure, property and government clients, while working closely with highly regarded partners in the practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on environment and planning matters across infrastructure, property and major projects.
  • Act on environmental and planning disputes, including judicial review and regulatory enforcement proceedings.
  • Provide strategic planning and environmental advice for major developments and transactions.
  • Draft court documents, agreements and legal advice across contentious and advisory matters.
  • Work collaboratively with partners and clients on complex planning and development issues.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives and support client relationship management.

About You

  • Admitted to practice in Australia or New Zealand with 2–4 years' PQE in Environment & Planning law, ideally gained at a top-tier or leading firm.
  • Experience acting on environmental and planning disputes.
  • Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to provide practical and strategic advice.
  • A collaborative mindset with strong relationship-building and team skills.
