The Opportunity

The firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Private Equity Real Estate practice in Sydney.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with leading global and regional private equity sponsors, investors and managers on complex, high-value real estate transactions. You will gain exposure across the full capital structure, including equity investments, capital raising, joint ventures and credit-based transactions, while working alongside highly regarded partners and a national team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on private equity real estate transactions including acquisitions, disposals and joint ventures.
  • Support capital raising, investment structuring and strategic real estate transactions.
  • Draft and negotiate complex transaction documentation.
  • Work across equity and debt structures within real estate investments.
  • Collaborate with cross-practice teams on multi-faceted transactions.
  • Build strong client relationships and contribute to the growth of the practice.

About You

  • Admitted to practice in Australia or New Zealand with experience in private equity, funds, financing or commercial real estate, ideally gained at a top-tier or high-profile firm.
  • Exposure to structuring investments into commercial real estate assets is highly regarded.
  • Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to build long-term client relationships.
  • A collaborative mindset with a desire to develop technical expertise and progress within a high-performing team.
