The Opportunity
The firm is seeking a Solicitor or Senior Associate to join its Corporate, Mergers & Acquisitions team.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of complex corporate transactions, advising leading companies and financial sponsors across public and private M&A, equity capital markets and corporate governance matters. You will work alongside highly regarded partners and collaborate closely with other specialist practice groups across the firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on a broad range of corporate matters, including public and private M&A, private equity transactions and equity capital markets.
- Draft and negotiate key transaction documents and support the execution of complex corporate deals.
- Lead smaller matters and contribute to critical workstreams on larger transactions.
- Work collaboratively with specialist teams across the firm to deliver integrated client solutions.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and support the mentoring and development of junior lawyers.
About You
- Admitted to practice in Australia or New Zealand with at least four years' experience in Corporate M&A and/or Capital Markets, ideally gained at a top-tier, national or international law firm.
- Strong technical and commercial understanding of corporate transactions.
- Proven ability to manage key aspects of complex matters while working effectively within a high-performing team.
- Strong communication skills and the capacity to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
- A collaborative mindset with a willingness to support and mentor junior lawyers.
