The Opportunity

The firm is seeking an Associate / Senior Associate (4+ PQE) to join its Corporate M&A team in Sydney.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of complex transactions, including public and private M&A, private capital transactions and equity raisings. You will work closely with highly regarded partners and advise leading corporates, financial sponsors and boards on high-value transactions and regulatory matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on public and private M&A transactions, including takeovers and acquisitions.
  • Support private capital transactions and equity raisings.
  • Draft and negotiate key transaction documentation.
  • Advise clients on corporate governance, securities laws and regulatory matters.
  • Work collaboratively with partners and cross-practice teams on complex transactions.
  • Build strong client relationships and contribute to the growth of the practice.

About You

  • Admitted to practice in Australia or New Zealand with 4+ years' PQE in Corporate M&A, ideally gained at a top-tier, national or international law firm.
  • Strong experience across public and private M&A transactions.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to manage aspects of complex transactions.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work both independently and within a high-performing team.
