The Opportunity

The firm is seeking an Associate (3+ PQE) to join its Corporate Transactions (M&A) team, with opportunities available in Sydney and Melbourne.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of complex corporate transactions, including public and private M&A, equity capital markets, IPOs and corporate advisory matters. You will work closely with highly regarded partners and collaborate across the firm on high-value, strategically significant transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on a broad range of corporate transactions including public and private M&A, equity capital markets and joint ventures.
  • Support takeovers, acquisitions, disposals, restructurings and corporate governance matters.
  • Draft and negotiate key transaction documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with partners and cross-practice teams on complex transactions.
  • Build strong client relationships and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.

About You

  • Admitted to practice in Australia or New Zealand with 3+ years' PQE in Corporate M&A, ideally gained at a leading national or international law firm.
  • Strong technical and drafting skills with experience supporting corporate transactions.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to provide clear and strategic advice.
  • Collaborative team player with strong communication skills and a willingness to mentor and support others.
