Network Engineer

This position is responsible for optimizing networking operations under the Technology Operations department. Scope of work includes routing, switching, LAN/WAN, and Cyber Security. The role requires a strong background in building and improving networks, as well as advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. The ability to work collaboratively across multiple business units in a multi-site international organization is essential.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform system patching and vulnerability management
• Maintain thorough documentation of networks and dependencies
• Investigate reported issues and conduct root cause analysis/troubleshooting
• Collaborate to ensure corporate compliance with PCI-DSS, GDPR, ISO, Data Loss Prevention, and Data Retention standards
• Monitor and respond to security incidents and system alerts
• Triage and resolve Technology Operations Incidents/Requests
• Maintain network components including routers, switches, and physical hardware
• Install and configure network equipment
• Provide system maintenance, including log monitoring, backups, and configuration management
• Continuously improve network security infrastructure
• Identify opportunities to implement a "Zero-Trust" methodology across all infrastructure
• Administer and enhance Cisco AnyConnect VPN Security
• Administer and enhance Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
• Administer and enhance Cisco Secure Internet Gateway (SIG)
• Ensure network infrastructure aligns with compliance requirements

Job Qualifications

Required Education

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related field, or equivalent work experience

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience working with network infrastructure

Required Certifications

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)

Other Required Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing conditions and priorities
• Strong technical knowledge of LANs, WANs, VPNs, TCP/IP, subnetting, DNS, cyber-security standards, and firewall policies
• Experience with centralized cloud administration (Meraki preferred)
• Hands-on experience implementing new technologies
• Knowledge of Linux systems and open-source solutions
