About the job Hardware and Electronics Engineer
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Computer Hardware Engineers will develop, design and test computer hardware components for computer and electrical systems. His/her duties will include designing and testing computer hardware components, analyzing test data, eliminating errors, modifying existing hardware and designing hardware for other electrical devices.
DETAIL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Designing and developing hardware components including circuit boards.
2. Testing hardware components individually and in tandem with external computer systems.
3. Analyzing systems data in order to make changes to the hardware configuration.
4. Completing functionality and performance tests on the final product.
5. Designing hardware for products
6. Collaborating with software developers to ensure the hardware functions for its intended purpose.
7. Assisting manufacturing process of hardware components.
8. Control the further processing or delivery of nonconforming products, tests or services until the nonconformities or unsatisfactory conditions have been corrected. (ISO 9001)
9. Establish and maintain a system for implementing corrective and preventive actions to eliminate the causes of actual or potential nonconformities and verify the implementation of solutions. (ISO 9001)
10. Ensure timely documentation as per quality management procedures (ISO 9001)
11. Contribute to the work of a team to achieve goals and meet success criteria at a specified time by project management.
12. Respect and maintain as confidential all information or data relating to the Companys operations and ensure that the disclosure of any such information is not permitted.
13. Follow the staff regulations and set an example.
14. Any other duties as specified by the immediate supervisor or relevant procedures.
JOB SPECIFICATION
Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science. Analytical thinking with good problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work to a strict deadline.
Ability to work closely with the software development team.
Extensive knowledge of computer hardware, software and electrical systems.
