Senior Finance Expert & Company Director

The Opportunity

A prominent international group operating across 30+ countries is establishing a new financial entity in Nicosia, Cyprus. This entity will function as an in-house banking hub, managing intercompany funding, treasury operations, and financial support for the group's global subsidiaries.

This is a rare ground-floor opportunity: you will be the sole finance professional on the ground in Cyprus, supported by a corporate team internationally, with the autonomy and authority to build and operate the function from day one. As part of this appointment, the successful candidate has the potential to serve as a Director of the company, taking a seat on the board alongside senior group stakeholders.

The role is based in a premium office in Nicosia's Labs Tower, with a flexible hybrid working arrangement.

What You Will Do

The core of this role (approximately 60–80%) centres on managing the group's internal receivables financing operations:

• Analyse accounts receivable portfolios from group subsidiaries across multiple jurisdictions
• Price receivables based on counterparty credit risk and support the decision to acquire them
• Execute and monitor intercompany financing and funding transactions
• Manage intercompany loan agreements and ensure compliance with agreed terms
• Support subsidiaries' working capital needs through structured in-house financing solutions

The remaining 20–40% covers broader finance, governance and corporate responsibilities:

• Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor the entity's P&L
• Prepare risk committee materials and present operations for board approval
• Coordinate and manage board meetings; maintain corporate governance standards
• Support operations, administration and governance processes for the new entity
• Work closely with the Corporate Finance team to ensure alignment with group strategy
• Liaise with external service providers for accounting, tax and regulatory obligations as needed

What We Are Looking For

This is a senior, highly autonomous role requiring both technical financial expertise and the gravitas to operate at board level.

Essential:

• 7+ years of experience in Finance, Corporate Finance, Treasury, FP&A or a related discipline
• Experience with trade finance, receivables financing, factoring, or credit risk analysis — or strong analytical capability to learn quickly in a structured finance context
• Comfortable operating independently and building processes from scratch in an evolving environment
• Director-ready: able to represent the company at board level, sign off on risk committee submissions, and take accountability for financial operations
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with rigorous attention to detail
• Organised, reliable and professional — someone who takes ownership and follows through
• Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage

Advantageous:

• Background in Big Four advisory (Transaction Services, Corporate Finance or equivalent)
• Experience within regulated financial services — EMIs, payment institutions, FX/CFD brokers or similar - desirable
• Familiarity with multi-jurisdictional intercompany structures and international group treasury
• Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics; ACA, ACCA or CFA qualified
