Senior Power Systems Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Power Systems Engineer to lead advanced modeling, simulation, and analysis projects across Transmission & Distribution (T&D) systems. This role supports strategic initiatives, drives technical excellence, and contributes to business growth within the power system simulation services domain.

You will work closely with leadership, technical teams, and global partners to deliver high‑impact engineering solutions for utilities, renewable energy developers, and large‑scale energy infrastructure clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute power system modeling and simulation studies for T&D networks
• Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders and leadership
• Ensure on‑time delivery, compliance, and high‑quality project execution
• Develop and optimize models for interconnection studies, protection coordination, stability, grounding, and power flow
• Conduct DER optimization, microgrid studies, and advanced design analysis
• Support proposal development, advisory services, economic analysis, and master planning
• Apply continuous improvement and lean methodologies to enhance processes and tools
• Identify new business opportunities within the power system simulation domain
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across the US, Middle East, Africa, and India

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems emphasis)
• 5+ years of experience in T&D power system modeling and simulation
• Hands‑on experience with:
  • PSS/E, PSCAD, Simulink, CYMEDIST, DigSilent
  • Python, C++, MATLAB
  • HIL/CHIL modeling
  • DER optimization, microgrid studies, demand response, DSM
• Strong communication skills; able to convey complex technical concepts
• Ability to travel 10%–40%
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating DERs into T&D systems
• Knowledge of regulatory and operational planning requirements
• Experience with energy storage systems, microgrids, and EV charging infrastructure
• Prior work with utilities or EPC partners
• Experience writing grant proposals
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and team collaboration skills
