About the Role

We are seeking a Billing Processor / Accounting Support Associate to join our insurance operations team. This role is ideal for a junior‑level candidate with strong Excel skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple systems and tasks in a fast‑paced environment.

You will support billing, payment application, disbursements, and accounting workflows while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.

Key Responsibilities

Billing & Payment Processing

  • Perform billing, disbursements, and payment application activities
  • Research checks, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain accurate insured records
  • Process administrative system accounting reports and consolidated statements

Accounting Support

  • Prepare and analyze accounting reports including variances, disbursements, billing, and statements
  • Perform trend and variation analysis for key accounts
  • Assist with internal and external accounting procedures and process improvements

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure compliance with SOX, SSAE16, tax regulations, local GAAP, US GAAP, and carrier agreements
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow established accounting policies

Communication & Workflow

  • Respond professionally to internal and external emails
  • Manage multiple systems including Excel, Access Database, processing systems, and workflow tools
  • Prioritize tasks effectively and maintain high accuracy

Required Skills & Experience

  • Associate degree
  • 1–3 years of accounting, billing, or payment processing experience
  • Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel proficiency (must be clearly shown on resume)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior finance or accounting experience
  • Experience in the insurance industry
