About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our mechanical engineering department and oversee all HVAC, piping, plumbing, and mechanical design projects. This role requires a Professional Engineer (PE) license and strong leadership experience in mechanical or industrial engineering environments.

You will be responsible for managing engineering staff, ensuring accuracy and quality of all design work, coordinating project schedules, and supporting both internal teams and external partners. This is a hands‑on leadership role that blends technical expertise with team development and project oversight.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Leadership & Oversight

  • Lead and manage all engineering and design work produced by the department
  • Oversee full‑cycle design and layout of mechanical projects
  • Prepare detailed engineering plans, conceptual designs, and presentation materials
  • Develop, implement, and maintain engineering standards and best practices

Mechanical Systems Expertise

  • Apply working knowledge of HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems
  • Review and approve engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant

Project & Team Management

  • Coordinate weekly engineering schedules with project managers
  • Attend client design meetings, pre‑construction, and post‑construction meetings
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with varying scopes
  • Mentor, train, and evaluate engineering staff

Collaboration & Vendor Coordination

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external engineering consultants and vendors
  • Support cross‑functional communication with project managers and construction teams

Software & Technical Tools

  • Utilize Navisworks, Revit, and AutoCAD for design and coordination
  • Support continuous improvement and innovation within the engineering department

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license — REQUIRED
  • 7+ years of experience in mechanical, construction, or industrial engineering
  • 5+ years of supervisory or engineering management experience
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems
  • Proficiency with Navisworks, Revit, and AutoCAD
  • Valid driving record meeting company requirements
  • Ability to pass pre‑employment drug screening
