Product Engineer — AI + Healthcare Automation (NYC)

About Us

We're an AI‑native healthcare company building agentic automation that removes administrative waste from U.S. healthcare. Our platform integrates directly into provider systems to automate workflows like prior auth, eligibility checks, benefit verification, and revenue cycle operations.

We're a ~20‑person, high‑talent team (Stanford/Harvard/MIT, ex‑MBB, ex‑quants, ex‑founders) closing a major Series A and scaling rapidly.

The Role

We're hiring Product Engineers who can own features end‑to‑end across frontend, backend, and AI systems. You'll work directly with engineers, clinicians, and RCM experts to ship automation that moves real metrics for healthcare providers.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in 01 environments and wants to grow into a Director‑level product engineering leader as we scale.

What You'll Do

• Build full‑stack features across React/Next.js and FastAPI/Python
• Translate user workflows into clear specs and measurable outcomes
• Lead discovery, prototyping, and rapid iteration
• Run customer pilots and incorporate structured feedback
• Instrument dashboards for accuracy, latency, and cash‑flow KPIs
• Build human‑in‑the‑loop review flows and ensure HIPAA‑aligned compliance
• Own a major slice of our AI automation platform end‑to‑end

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years building and shipping 01 products
• Strong full‑stack engineering skills (React/Next.js + Python/FastAPI)
• Experience with APIs, distributed systems, or data pipelines
• Comfortable shadowing users and gathering feedback
• Clear communicator who works well with clinical, engineering, and leadership teams
• High slope, strong ownership, and desire to grow quickly
• Bonus: top‑tier academic background (Stanford, Harvard, MIT)

Not a fit if: frequent job hopping, purely managerial roles, or purely big‑tech experience without 01 ownership.
