About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CMM Programmer to support precision measurement and quality control within a medical device manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing CMM programs to ensure components meet strict engineering specifications and industry standards.

The ideal candidate brings strong metrology knowledge, hands‑on CMM programming experience, and the ability to collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams. This position plays a key role in reducing defects, improving inspection efficiency, and maintaining exceptional product reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain CMM programs using PC‑DMIS, Calypso, or similar metrology software.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements to create accurate inspection routines.
  • Collaborate with quality and production teams to troubleshoot measurement issues and optimize inspection processes.
  • Perform routine calibration, verification, and maintenance of CMM equipment.
  • Analyze measurement data and generate detailed inspection reports for quality assurance and continuous improvement.
  • Validate and troubleshoot CMM programs to ensure accuracy and repeatability.
  • Train operators on CMM programming best practices and metrology tools.
  • Implement process improvements to reduce inspection cycle time and enhance reporting capabilities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in metrology or manufacturing technology preferred.
  • Proven experience programming and operating CMMs in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T principles.
  • Proficiency with CMM software such as PC‑DMIS, Calypso, or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with advanced metrology tools (laser scanners, vision systems).
  • Familiarity with SPC and QMS frameworks.
  • CAD software experience and ability to integrate CAD models into CMM programming.
  • Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
