About the Role
We are seeking experienced California Hearing Representatives who can independently manage lien files, appear before WCAB judges, and drive efficient case resolution.
This is an evergreen role due to firm growth — strong candidates are interviewed and hired quickly.
What You'll Do
- Manage a full caseload of lien files from intake to resolution
- Appear before WCAB judges for:
- Mandatory Settlement Conferences
- Status Conferences
- Walk‑through settlements
- Negotiate and resolve liens through litigation and settlement
- Rate permanent disability using the AMA Guides
- Draft settlement documents, declarations, and position statements
- Communicate with employers, carriers, and TPAs to move cases forward
- Maintain organized, tech‑savvy workflows in a fully remote environment
Who You Are
Must‑Have Experience
- 3–20 years of California workers' compensation defense experience
- Recent (last 2 years) in‑person WCAB hearing experience
- Experience handling medical lien hearings, not just copy liens
- Ability to independently manage a lien caseload
- Located in California
- Full‑time availability
Nice to Have
- Strong negotiation skills with lien claimants
- Experience drafting pleadings and settlement documents
- Tech‑savvy and comfortable in a paperless environment
- Strong client‑facing communication skills
- Interest in future leadership or mentorship roles
Compensation & Work Setup
- Base Salary: Competitive
- Bonuses: Discretionary, based on performance
- Work Model: Fully remote (California only)
