Job Overview: (80K-106K$)
We are seeking a seasoned EHS Manager to oversee safety and environmental programs at a key facility in Richmond Hill, ON. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant work environment by implementing and managing EHS policies and programs. You will work closely with the plant management team to enhance safety performance and meet regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of EHS, including OSHA compliance, environmental record keeping, safety audits, and accident investigations.
- Develop, evaluate, and manage the EHS department budget.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental laws and regulations.
- Design, deliver, and track health and safety training programs and OSHA certifications.
- Provide support to department managers for safety meetings and work modifications.
- Review and analyze injury reports to ensure proper reporting and prevent recurrence.
- Prepare and submit environmental compliance reports to relevant agencies.
- Continuously assess and recommend safety improvements across the facility.
Qualifications:
- University or college degree in Safety, Business Management, or a related field preferred.
- At least five years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on safety management.
- In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and standards.
- Strong skills in safety management, risk assessment, and OSHA compliance.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Experience in a food manufacturing facility is advantageous.
