CIM IT Engineer

The CIM IT Engineer provides technical support for shop floor control systems and related IT infrastructure within the manufacturing environment. This role ensures system availability, resolves IT issues promptly, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to maintain smooth production operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to end users for shop floor control systems.
  • Monitor system health and availability through daily checklists.
  • Ensure Wistron customer and local subsystems remain operational.
  • Handover pending activities or issues to the next shift and follow up on unresolved items.
  • Escalate issues that cannot be resolved quickly or require intervention from other IT teams.
  • Support rollout of applications and troubleshoot IT-related problems on the production floor
  • Qualifications

Education:

Diploma in IT Engineering or related field.

Experience:

Minimum 1 year in the following areas: o Shop Floor Control (SFC) support

o Power BI / RPA

o Servers / IIS / Active Directory / Databases (Oracle / PostgreSQL)

o Troubleshooting and application rollout

o NIFI / Kafka

Skills:

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead and manage tasks effectively.
  • Team collaboration and communication skills.

Working Conditions

  • Combination of office and production floor environment.
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods during inspections.
  • Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 lbs.
  • Occasional travel for supplier audits and quality reviews.
  • Exposure to manufacturing noise and machinery; appropriate PPE provided.
