Our client one of the global leaders in 3D software development, is recruiting for a DevOps Manager to work alongside our small but mighty global team of DevOps Engineers.

We are looking for someone with technical knowledge and an energetic personality to help guide and work on automating the build, test, and deployment processes for our product lines. This position is available as a hybrid role (some remote and some in-office), near one of our offices in Lyon or Sophia-Antipolis, France.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead and inspire the DevOps engineers to be productive and efficient in their roles
  • Oversee the design and guide implementation of major initiatives within the CI/CD systems, striving for overall efficiency, reliability, and internal design that is coherent, consistent, and maintainable
  • Actively participate in design and development working side by side with the team on the day-to day DevOps work
  • As a member of the Engineering Leadership Team, work to create measurable and actionable goals and objectives that align with corporate goals
  • Inspire the use of best practices for DevOps and advocate a sound DevOps mentality across the engineering organization
  • Stay current on the latest DevOps technologies and trends; make recommendations for improvement
  • Research and propose strategic projects to improve the build, test, and delivery systems
  • Create and update KPI's to measure our CI/CD systems and to inform continuing improvement efforts
  • Manage all areas of direct report's professional development
  • Exemplify and consciously contribute to the Core Values of the company

The Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years in a lead DevOps role
  • Expertise in a wide array of DevOps technologies CI/CD systems (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Bitbucket, etc)
  • Infrastructure automation and scripting using Terraform
  • Scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python, groovy, etc)
  • Software package managers (Conan, NPM, PyPI)
  • Containers, container orchestration and deployment (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Helm)
  • Configuration Management Tool such as Ansible etc.
  • Release Management tools such as Azure DevOps etc.
  • Experience with cloud computing principles and services (e.g. AWS, Azure etc)
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (eg: C++, Java, Rust, Python, etc.)
  • Knowledge of native builds and C++ build systems (CMake, Visual Studio, "make" and Xcode)
  • Knowledge of Comfort with Windows, Linux, and MacOS operating systems
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Professional working proficiency in English
  • Ability to occasionally travel for work
