About the Role

As a Medication Technician, you will play an essential role in supporting residents health and well-being through the safe, accurate administration of medications. You'll work closely with nurses, physicians, families, and residents to ensure medications are managed properly while fostering a supportive, respectful, and caring environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications to residents safely and accurately in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Document all medication assistance and resident care activities in the electronic health record system.
• Support residents with daily care needs, including assistance with appointments, vital signs, and wellness checks as directed.
• Coordinate with physicians, pharmacies, and families to ensure timely medication refills, prescription changes, and accurate communication.
• Respond effectively and calmly to resident emergencies, following established emergency procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant medication cart and work area at all times.
• Promote resident dignity, independence, and overall well-being through compassionate care.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Previous experience as a caregiver or medication technician preferred, but not required (training available).
• CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and health screening, including physical exam and TB testing.
