About the Role

As Regional Executive General Manager a senior-level leader reporting directly to the COO you'll oversee three bulk transloading terminals supporting Appalachian Basin customers. This role is responsible for optimizing throughput, ensuring regulatory and safety compliance, driving commercial results, and leading teams toward best-in-class performance across multiple transportation modes (rail, barge, truck).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operational leadership for 3 transload facilities aligned with corporate goals and safety standards

  • Establish and enforce KPIs, SOPs, and operational policies

  • Optimize asset utilization, reduce costs, and increase profitability

  • Oversee safe, compliant rail switching and car staging operations (1,000+ car capacity)

  • Manage barge transload activity, berth scheduling, and liquid handling

  • Coordinate manifest/unit train schedules and interface with Class I railroads

  • Lead and develop site leaders, supervisors, and cross-functional staff

  • Promote accountability, continuous improvement, and a safety-first culture

  • Partner with Sales, Business Development, and Finance to drive strategic growth and capital investment

  • Ensure regulatory compliance (OSHA, FRA, DOT, PHMSA, EPA, USCG)

  • Lead HSE programs, incident investigations, and root cause analyses

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • 10+ years' experience in bulk terminal or industrial logistics, including 5+ years leading multiple sites

  • Expertise in:

  • Rail operations and Class I railroad coordination

  • Barge/river terminal operations and liquid transloading

  • Cost management, financial reporting, and P&L oversight

  • Leadership of cross-functional teams in a high-risk environment

  • Midstream, energy, or frac sand industry operations

  • Experience with project management or Six Sigma methodologies

  • Proficient in TMS/WMS platforms and asset tracking tools

  • Willingness to travel 2540% across tri-terminal region
